Hi my name is Jack. I graduated from Year 12 in 2021. I completed my HSC for Mathematics Advanced and Maths Extenion 1 in Year 11 as an accelerated student. I achieved highly in the top bands in both subjects, placing equal 1st in NSW in Mathematics Advanced with a raw exam mark of 100.
Achieving ths result was challenging and it still feels surreal a year on. From this, I know all the intricate details of the mathematics advanced course. I know the common mistakes students make, having made many myself. I know how to exactly set out your work to empress markers. And most importantly, I know the secrets to exam success.
I have aquired many study skills and exam tips throughout my high school experience. I have an advanced level of mathematics knowledge, having ranked 1st at a selective school in Mathematics Extension 2, Physics and Chemistry. I understand the importance of hard work to achieving your goals but I also acknowledge that there are many tricks that you can employ to minimise your work load while maximising your marks. I want to share these tricks with you and help set you up for exam success.

We take a birds eye view of the years work alongside the syllabus and explore the concepts we will be learning throughout the year.

Lecture 2: Revising Year 11 for Year 12
The year 11 course is examinable in the HSC and can be up to 20% of the total marks. It is thus pivotal that we learn harder style questions and apply them to Year 12 concepts.
We engage with harder questions from the harder topics in Year 11. We put a focus on absolute value functions, trigonometry and calculus.
Together, we attempt past HSC questions that have been derived from the Year 11 course.
