I graduated in 2020 and amidst a pandemic and the challenges of being the first ATAR cohort of Queensland, received an honorary ATAR of 100 – Yes, you read that correctly. I was awarded by the QCAA as the top student in Queensland, placing me atop roughly 50, 000 graduating students in my cohort. Furthermore, I received a perfect score of 100% in Chemistry across all assignments and exams.
Notwithstanding my academic certification, what distinguishes me as a mentor is the approaches, tactics and strategies that I have implemented to great effect that is unable to be found anywhere else. It was the rigour of this approach that led to my success and I wish to share it with you.

Lecture 1: Practice Exam Technique
In Chemistry, the exam counts for 50% of your whole study score. Its importance cannot be underestimated- it has the potential to compensate for any lost marks from over the year.
The saying is true- practice makes perfect. I’ll guide you on exactly when to start doing practice exams to maximise your chances at success without burning out too early.
Completing a practice exam is only the half of it- to make the most of these valuable resources, I’ll show you how I recorded all my errors and then learnt from these- ensuring I never made the same mistake twice.
Lecture 2: The Scientific Method
The scientific method is central to any of the sciences, however it is often overlooked or sacrificed for the other content that must be covered, having been previously taught in junior years.
The scientific method never changes- unlike the course content which can be manipulated or inserted into new scenarios to trip you up. It is guaranteed to appear on the exam every year, and if you understand it, it is one of the easiest areas to collect marks in.
This assessment is one of the easiest to do well in- there are no trick questions. I’ll show you exactly what the markers are looking for to ensure you gain every possible mark and go in with confidence.
