98+ in General

Hi. I graduated from Year 12 in 2020. As I began my Year 12 journey I didn’t feel like a particularly high achiever. I always worked hard and did the textbook questions but never favoured myself as particularly likely to receive a super high score in General Maths. However, throughout the year that outlook changed through a unique mentorship I received.

I ended up achieving highest in the state in General Maths and a 99+ ATAR.

Somewhere along the way, I realised that the path to the top isn’t only for those who typically achieve at the top. It’s for those who are able to take the subject in their hands; to grapple with the skills and to come out on top. In the next two years I felt a duty to help my brother achieve in a similar manner and with my mentorship, he yielded a significantly higher ATAR.

I feel it’s now my duty to you to help you follow a similar path. It’s a contrarian path that is dedicated to the pursuit of hard work but it’s a path that is worth it when you stare at that screen on results day. I realised that studying General wasn’t about learning the math as much as learning the skills – how to effectively not drop any marks and in the end beat the examiner.
